Abigail Berry Jackson, a talented and versatile soprano, was most recently seen in Local Opera Local Artists’ (LOLA) production of La Clemenza di Tito: A Retelling as Servilia. She is making a name for herself in the new music community of Central Texas with credits including the role of Wolf in the world premiere of Cry Wolf by Alex Heppelman with the Cohen New Works Festival, Speeches for Dr. Frankenstein, a song cycle by Dr. Bruce Pennycook, and as a soloist in Tetractys’ New Music concert series. Ms. Jackson has been seen as a soloist with the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra and Austin Baroque Orchestra, and in the choruses of Austin Opera and Gilbert and Sullivan Austin. She received her Master of Music in Opera Performance from the University of Texas at Austin where she sang the roles of Beth in Adamo’s Little Women, Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and Dew Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel with the UT Butler Opera Center.
